AVAILABLE NEEDLES

The hook needle is designed to reach zones that are not accessible with straight needles. It's also very effective on coin legends.

Accuracy

Use the big harpoon to remove the first layers of crust or mud. It's the least accurate tool but very effective on hard crust on a wide surface. Use ``scratch`` move.

Accuracy

The small and medium harpoon are smaller versions of the big harpoon. They are very effective to remove the thick layers of crust or mud. With those harpoons you may use scratch moves.

AVAILABLE NEEDLES

Use the blunt needle on larger areas. It's the more versatile needle. Its polished end will avoid scratches. Use it just after having removed most of the crust with the diamond tip.

Accuracy

The diamond needle offers the best results on thick crust. Use it on the first stage of precision cleaning. Do not use scratch motion: instead, try to keep the tip parallel to the surface of the crust and use pull-out motions. When reaching the surface of the coin/artefact use thin or blunt needles

Accuracy

The sharp thin tip is the most accurate needle available. Use it for the more narrow areas such as letters in a coin caption or to finish your cleaning.
